James Norney
James has possessed an undeniable passion for fly fishing since picking up a fly rod as a young teen. Since, he has spent nearly every waking hour with fly fishing on the brain and continues to dedicate all his spare time to his passion. Fishing all around Australia and the World he is forever searching for great fishing and amazing photo opportunities. In 2019 alone James fished the Cocos (Keeling) islands, New Zealand, Japan, Kiribati and Aitutaki in the Cook islands.
An adventure seeker who loves a laugh, James thinks if you’re not having fun while catching fish, you’re not doing it right. He loves to teach and is well equipped to take on all levels and ages of anglers. He is currently a ‘Fly Fishing International’ Certified casting instructor (CCI).
Along with loving and exploring mountain streams James also joined the TV Show - AFN ‘The Fishing Show’ as a host in 2023 and you can watch him on 7Mate on your TV or on the 7Plus app on your phone. He looks forward to seeing you out on the water, catching some fish, sharing his knowledge and creating an unforgettable fly fishing experience.
