With the stunning backdrop of lake mountain and the cathedral ranges the pure serenity is enough to make the day worth it.

Although the remnants of the 2008 Black Saturday bushfire still loom on the hills surrounding, the quaint stream side town has an abundance of activities and adventures on offer. Fly fishing, bushwalking, golf and mountain bike riding are just some of the fun-filled activities to try you hand at during your visit or little weekend getaway.

Marysville provides the perfect fly fishing base camp. As well as having a number of well populated trout streams within just a couple of minutes drive, the wider Acheron valley provides an amazing diversity of fishing locations and gorgeous landscapes for fly anglers and adventure seekers.
